    In my mind, the primary reason for this bakery's five stars is their almond croissants. Theirs are the best I have had outside of my favorite bakery in Solvang, and that is quite a trek, so I am happy to have discovered these; they are soft, with a good amount of almond paste filling, and are just sweet enough. The shop also sells fancy, small cakes. I tried the triple chocolate and the mango ones and thought they were just okay; they did not have enough flavor for me. My daughter, though, liked them. (A word of warning; do not do what we did and leave the cakes in a hot car for a couple of hours; the cakes got a bit warped, which is why I did not photograph them.) I also tried 4 of the macaroons. I loved the pistachio one; it was the best macaroon I have ever had. I did not care for the raspberry one, and the salted caramel had a touch too much salt for my liking. I got a blueberry/lavender one for my daughter and she loved it.

    Easily the best gluten free pastries we've enjoyed in the South Bay area. Finding good GF food is a challenge and My wife's birthday came up recently so I was scrambling as usual to find a treat. I was lucky to stumbled on to the Jane Ellen Bakery on yelp, and ordered 3 tarts- chocolate and creme; rasberry and lemon. All were out of this world delicious and the price was reasonable. Keep up the good work!

    Exceptional cake baked by exceptional folks. I ordered their flourless chocolate cake for our gluten-free friends attending my wife's 50th birthday party. Everything about my experience was perfect. Jonathon was super friendly & helpful over the phone. The cake was ready on time & looked almost too good (sophisticated ganache/cocoa striping). I wish I had more time to enjoy all the tasty baked goods on display. The cake was a smash at the party. Texture & flavor with no compromise for being gluten free. Moist, almost fudgy, rich & chocolatey. Only one small piece was left for my wife & I to share, and that was because our gluten-capable friends were being thoughtful. I'm looking forward to our next event as an excuse to order another cake from these folks.

    I love everything I've ordered here - croissants, spinach pastries, but especially the scones. They also made my birthday cake this year (one of the chocolate ones) and it was really delicious!
